Your Privacy Choices

At Afrikasia Travel & Tours Pty Ltd South Africa (“Afrikasia”), we are committed to respecting your privacy and giving you control over your personal data. Below, we outline your options for managing your privacy settings.

Account Management

If you have an account with us, you can disable your account at any time through your account page. Once your account is disabled, Afrikasia will stop collecting any new Personal Information from you. However, Afrikasia may retain and continue using or making available Personal Information that was previously collected. For further details, please refer to the Data Retention section of our policy.

Opting Out of Location-Based Advertising

You can opt out of the collection and use of precise location data for advertising by turning off location services through your device settings. The latest versions of iOS and Android allow you to control which applications can access your location information. By disabling this setting, you prevent apps from accessing your location data for targeted advertising purposes.

Restricting the Use of Tracking Data

You can limit the use of identifiers for ad targeting on your devices:

• For Android, navigate to: Google settings > Ads > Reset advertising ID.

• For iOS, navigate to: Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Reset Advertising Identifier.

By turning on these settings, apps will not be permitted to use the advertising identifier to serve targeted ads, although companies may still monitor your app usage for purposes like research and fraud prevention. Resetting your device’s advertising identifier will make it harder to associate the device with past activity, although tracking can begin anew using the new identifier.

Opting Out of Targeted Advertising

If you would like to opt out of Afrikasia’s use of Personal Information to serve targeted advertising on your mobile applications, you can download the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) AppChoices mobile application for each of your devices and set your preferences within the application:

• Download AppChoices for Android devices

If you reset your mobile advertising identifiers, you will need to reset your preferences in the AppChoices applications. Please note that deleting all cookies will also remove the cookies that indicate your preference to opt out of targeted ads.

Cookie Management

Web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signal that indicates your preference for tracking your activities across websites or through cross-site user tracking. However, Afrikasia’s Services do not currently respond to DNT signals.

Even if you opt out of targeted advertising, companies may still use cookies for other purposes, such as limiting the number of times you’re shown a particular ad or for other necessary functions.
